About Us
Long before Fortress Builders became a collection of games, conversations, and resources designed to strengthen marriages, it began with a love story.
Our story began on a college campus in Jamaica, where two young students, Jaymie and Chauna-Kaye Pottinger, met and began building something neither of us fully understood at the time, a partnership rooted in friendship, faith, and a shared vision for life.
Like most young couples, our relationship started with laughter, late night conversations, big dreams, and the excitement of discovering each other’s hearts. What we did not know then was that the years ahead would test us, stretch us, and ultimately deepen our commitment to one another.Marriage, as we quickly learned, is not just about love.It is about learning how to grow together when life becomes complicated.
Over the years we navigated the same challenges many couples face; career pressures, parenting, emotional distance, miscommunication, and the constant demands of everyday life. Through those seasons we discovered something powerful:Strong marriages are not built by accident; they are built intentionally.
Today, after 18 years of marriage, we are grateful to be raising three amazing children while building our life together in Orlando, Florida. Our journey has taught us that a thriving marriage requires more than romance; it requires tools, honesty, spiritual grounding, and the courage to keep choosing each other again and again. That realization became the inspiration for Fortress Builders.
We created Fortress Builders as a way to help couples move beyond surface level connection and rediscover the joy, intimacy, and partnership that marriage was meant to hold. Every product we design, from our conversation games to our intimacy tools, is built around one simple belief:
Great marriages are built, protected, and strengthened over time. Just like a fortress.
Our hope is that the resources you find here will spark laughter, deepen conversations, reignite affection, and help you build a marriage that is not only loving, but resilient.Because when couples build strong marriages, they create strong families; and strong families change the world.
Welcome to Fortress Builders.
With love,
Jaymie and Chauna-Kaye Pottinger
